Action for Nature in Ayrshire by Scottish Wildlife Trust
For 60 years, the Scottish Wildlife Trust has established itself as a leader in nature conservation in Scotland. Action for Nature in Ayrshire offers a wide range of fun and practical conservation tasks for volunteers to assist with managing greenspaces for wildlife and people. We organise free nature guided walks, seasonal crafts and wildlife related public events.

Clearing the pathway at The Crescent
You are welcome to join our team of volunteers on Sunday 1st of September from 10am to 2pm, to clear the pathway at The Crescent, Skelmorlie. Tasks consist on: trimming back branches and foliage along existing woodland path (north section), mowing a rough path through wild meadow, trimming and form a woodland path (south section). The Scottish Wildlife Trust will assist with weeding and preparing the raised bed at Skelmorlie Primary School on Wednesday 28th of August. They will also set up wildlife exhibits that the children can explore during the School Nature Day on Friday 30th August.

Special Activity Instructions
Anyone welcome to join. Children must be accompanied by parent/guardian.
Activities will mainly consist on pruning and sawing using hand tools. We should have plenty of tools but participants are welcome to bring their own tools if they are fit-for-purpose.
It is recommended to wear old gardening type clothes, dress for weather and bring a drink/snack.
