Field Studies Council

The Field Studies Council is a charity that provides school trips, college and university fieldwork, art and nature courses, and more. Celebrating 80 years of environmental education, it offers courses and events at its centres across the UK.

Amy is an experienced outdoor educator, based at the Field Studies Council Millport on the Isle of Cumbrae. She has a background in marine biology and is passionate about sharing her knowledge of the wildlife we can find right on our doorsteps here in the UK.

Star Gazing

After our bat walk from 8 pm to 9 pm, discover the cosmic night sky away from the brightness of everyday life. Identify some constellations that travellers have used to aid navigation for over a millennia and explore our place within the solar system.
